GenAI Developer/Data Engineer/Scientist, Cloud Architect and Software Developer

I Love Working with Others Creating Solutions for Complex and Challenging Problems…

“Art shapes what we feel, Science maps the hidden truth— Together they bloom.”

I am a Team builder, a software engineer, and data scientist/engineer. You can read about my story here. I have been in the AI space, AI/ML, Data Science, and now GenAI, for a few decades. It is amazing how quickly things are evolving, yet, may concepts are getting re-used from the past in a new context.

I created my first multi-agent system back in 1998 for my Master’s project at RPI, the project was called a Distributed Hybrid Agent System for Managing Heterogeneous Data Sources (DHAS), and use a crawler to capture html, create KQML from the crawled data, and then create a knowledge base using the RETE algorithm.

Over the past 2 years, starting in 2023, I started working on creating GenAI enabled multi-agent systems (langchain), with short-term/long-term memory, providing and interfacing agentic platforms to current capabilities. These solutions are multi-language, distributed and really fun to create! I can’t wait to see where the industry goes.

In 2006-2009, as a thought leader in the network security industry, my Team introduced a highly disruptive, patented concept, and set of related technologies, called aggregate behavior analytics (CATCH 2009). This was a AI/ML based capability, and it seeded new businesses and technologies, and new companies started emerging in 2012-2013 to better protect our nation’s infrastructure.

I love diving into music to create and perform from time to time. I think there is a natural connections between science and art, the two are one in the same. You can listen to my music on SoundCloud here.

I bring unique approaches to my teams challenges leveraging a diverse set of skills: as a data science researcher establishing aggregate behavioral analytics, a software developer/architect creating distributed and embedded technologies, a project lead, a technical lead, an architect focused in Cloud DevOps, and also with roots as an analytic chemist and LIMS systems manager.

My passion is working with and creating dynamic and diversified teams developing next generation big fast data capabilities, reactive/agile development, event streaming and machine-learning platforms.

Thinking Outside the Box…

Over the years I had a chance to work with some amazing people and teams, and have drawn on those formative experiences providing simple solutions to challenging problems.

My work with network security research put in me in touch with researchers from NIH, Healthcare professionals in SE CT, and cyber researches from MIT and University of Memphis applying natural immunological concepts to threat detection (paper).

Starting in 2009, I created some interesting models, and toured and lectured the US and abroad to talk about those concepts involving Aggregate Behavior Analytics. If you are in the network security business, in 2014 you will see a bunch of security companies start to integrate these concepts into their main stream products.
